Sonali Phogat died at the age of 42 in Goa after suffering a heart attack on Monday night. Reportedly, she had gone to Goa with her other staff members. She rose to fame as a contestant of Bigg Boss 14 and also enjoyed a huge fan following on Tik Tok.
Sonali Phogat also contested the assembly elections from Adampur on a BJP ticket in the Haryana elections. She contested against Kuldeep Bishnoi as a BJP candidate and Kuldeep Singh visited her home the last week.
Sonali Phogat was born on September 21, 1979, in Haryana to a Jaat family. Her father was a farmer by occupation. She had one brother and three sisters. Her married life was not at all a bed of roses as she lost her husband in the year 2016 and had to be a single parent. She has a daughter named Yashodhara Phogat.
She is also known for portraying Fatima in the serial of Zee TV “Ek Maa Jo Lakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma” and also got featured in a Haryanvi Film named Choriyan Choron Se Kam Nhi Hoti.
She once landed into a controversy when she had beaten up a member of Balsamand market secretary Sultan Singh around 2 years back. She reportedly thrashed him while alleging him of abusing hurls at her.
Shortly before her death, a video was posted by her on her Instagram along with this she also changed the profile picture of her Twitter account.
