Sookshmadarshini OTT release: Know when & where to watch Nazriya’s comedy-thriller film online?

Sookshmadarshini is an Indian Malayalam-language black comedy mystery thriller film. It is directed by M. C. Jithin. It is co-written by Libin T.B and Athul Ramachandran. The film is produced by Happy Hours Entertainments and AVA Productions.

This movie stars Nazriya Nazim, Basil Joseph, Akhila Bhargavan, Merin Philip, Pooja Mohanraj, Siddharth Bharathan, Deepak Parambol and Kottayam Rames. The film marks Nazriya Nazim’s return to Mollywood after a four-year hiatus.

This movie was released in theatres on 22nd November 2024 and emerged as one of the highest grossing Malayalam films in 2024 at the box office. The movie has grossed Rs 55 crores worldwide with Indian collection at Rs 33 crores and overseas collection at Rs 22 crores.

The storyline of the movie revolves around a man who returns with his mother in a middle-class neighbourhood. Suspicious of his intentions, Priyadarshini, played by Nazriya, and her friends begin gathering clues, convinced he may be hiding something sinister. Notably, the film has only two songs where one track which is used as a promotional song.

When & where to watch Sookshmadarshini online?

Sookshmadarshini is all set to start streaming from 11th January 2025 on Disney Plus Hotstar. Disney Plus Hotstar has shared a post, announcing the release date of the movie on Instagram. The post reads, “Curiosity magnified! Sookshmadarshini will be streaming from January 11 on Disney+ Hotstar!” This movie will stream on the platform in a total of five languages, including Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

The digital debut of the movie was delayed. Producer Listin Stephen opened up about the delay of Sookshmadarshini and had said, “A lot of movies, including those of stars, go for the pay-per-view option. Earlier, there was a particular range or amount for which the movies did business (in the OTT space). Now, no producer can say how much the movie will make. That is the current situation.”
