Special Shatabdi Express trains have been announced by Indian Railways to meet the rush during the festive season. These special trains come as a Diwali gift for those who have been planning to travel home via trains during the festival.
Reportedly, the railways will be operating three more special festival trains to facilitate passengers for smooth travel.
As per reports, the Western Railway, the Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad special Shatabdi Express will resume operation from today and will continue its service till further notice.
Another two pairs of festive special trains that will run between Bareilly and Bhuj have also been announced to manage the passenger rush this festive season.

Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Special Shatabdi
This special Shatabdi train number 02009/02010 Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Special Shatabdi Express will operate every day, except on Sundays. The train will leave from Mumbai Central at 6:30 AM, and reach Ahmedabad the same day at 12:45 PM.
The return journey will be made by train number 02010, which will leave Ahmedabad at 2:45 PM, and reach Mumbai Central at 7:20 PM on the same day. The special trains have stopped at the following stations during both the journeys—Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, and Nadiad stations. The trains will have AC Chair Car coaches and Executive Chair Car coaches.
Special Shatabdi Express from Bhuj to Bareilly
The two special trains that will operate from Bhuj to Bareilly, one Train number 04322 Bhuj-Bareilly special train will leave from Bhuj on weekdays - Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 5:05 AM, and reach Bareilly the next day at 8:35 AM.

Likewise, the return journey will be made by train number 04321 Bareilly-Bhuj Special train leaving Bareilly at 6:35 AM on weekdays - Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and will reach Bhuj the next day at 9:30 AM. This train will operate on tracks till November 29, 2020.

Booking for the above-mentioned train can be done via IRCTC website and nominated PRS counters. Also, all the trains will run as fully reserved trains.
