Intensifying the probe over the drug angle in connection to the Sushant Singh Rajput case, the Narcotics Control Bureau has now arrested Rhea Chakraborty's brother, Showik Chakraborty, and Sushant Singh Rajput's house manager, Samuel Miranda.
Miranda's family, however, will be informed shortly about his arrest. The NCB will produce both the convicts before the court in the morning of September 5.
Earlier in the day, Samuel Miranda has confessed to the NCB that he procured drugs for the late actor.
The NCB, on Friday morning had raided both Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda's homes. The raid began at around 6:40 am. After the raids, the two were taken for further questioning by the NCB officials.
Divulging the details on the raids, CB Deputy Director KPS Malhotra had earlier said that the raids were only procedural. “It's a procedural matter. That is what we are following. It is being done at Rhea's and Samuel Miranda's house,” he had said.
Earlier in the day, eight officials of the NCB had arrived at the Chakraborty residence in Juhu. Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, as well as their parents, Indrajit and Sandhya, were present in the house during the search operation. The NCB looked for digital evidence and traces of drugs.

He also mentioned the name of drug peddler Zaid Vilatra, who had been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on Tuesday (September 1) night.

On August 26, the NCB had registered a case under Sections 20, 22, 27 and 29 of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act. The NCB also booked Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty and others, against whom the ED had prepared a case. The formal investigation by the NCB began on August 27, after a team of officials landed in Mumbai. The NCB team is being headed by KPS Malhotra, deputy director of Delhi Zonal Unit.
However, it will remain evident to see, when will Rhea Chakraborty get detained by NCB for her alleged involvement in the case.
