Days after AIIMS forensic report has ruled out the murder theory in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, the late actor's family lawyer, Vikas Singh, has now written to the Director, CBI stating that the AIIMS has conducted a "faulty forensic examination" and AIIMS must constitute another team for fair and proper assessment into the case.
Singh, in the letter, has also stated that he has not received a copy of the AIIMS report in spite of repeatedly asking for it from lawyers and also Dr. Sudhir Gupta, Chairman of the AIIMS Forensic Medical Board has not responded to it that if the “leaked report” is correct, amounts to drawing a biased and boastful conclusion from “insufficient evidence”.
Singh has stated that another forensic team must be constituted by CBI so that a “fair and proper” assessment takes place with regard to the contents of post-mortem conducted by Cooper Hospital & whether the cause of death can be specified.
"The AIIMS report, if at all, could have only specified the cause of death, i.e. by hanging and could not have gone to say that it is a case of suicide because that is something which only the CBI can decide after a complete investigation in the matter," the letter reads.
The lawyer has raised objections to the AIIMS report in the letter and said that AIIMS has not conducted a post-mortem but has just expressed his opinion with regard to the previously conducted autopsy done by Cooper Hospital as AIIMS did not have the privilege to examine the dead body of the late actor at first.
Sushant’s family lawyer has raised concern that the time of death was not mentioned in the post-mortem report and stated that the conduct of Dr. Sudhir Gupta is ‘unethical and unprofessional’.
