Television actor Vikas Sethi on Sunday died at the age of 48 due to cardiac arrest in his sleep. Vikas Sethi was famous for his roles in popular 2000s TV shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To Hoga, and Kasautii Zindagi Kay, etc. He is survived by his wife, Jhanvi Sethi, and their twin sons, born in 2021. As soon as Vikas Sethi's death was confirmed, tributes and condolence messages started to pour in for the actor and his family. What happened to Vikas Sethi?
Talking about Vikas Sethi's final moments, his wife Jhanvi revealed they were in Nashik for a family event when he started vomiting and experiencing diarrhea. He didn’t want to go to the hospital, so they called a doctor home. "After we reached my mother’s house in Nashik, he had vomiting and loose motions. He didn’t want to go to the hospital so we asked the doctor to come home,” Jhanvi said adding that when she checked on him, he had already passed away.
She added, “When I went to wake him up at around 6 am (on Sunday), he was no more. The doctor there told us he passed away last night in his sleep due to a cardiac arrest." His body has been sent to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai for a post-mortem. Notably, it was the same hospital where late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's body was sent.
For the unversed, Vikas Sethi was famous for portraying the character of Swayam Shergill in Kahiin To Hoga and Prem Basu in Kasautii Zindagi Kay. n 2021, Vikas shared a video on Instagram after undergoing leg surgery. He mentioned that, although the doctor recommended a month and a half of bed rest, he was determined to recover faster and stronger. Vikas also promised to spend time with friends and continue making videos for his fans. Vikas was also determined to get back in shape.
