Tensions prevailing in the Bollywood industry ever since the NCB started its probe to unearth the nexus of drug cartels and Bollywood. The NCB joined Sushant Singh Rajput's case after the ED accessed Rhea Chakraborty's deleted WhatsApp chats which talked about drug parties and even consumption and buying of drugs.
One name which cropped in various WhatsApp chats was of Sushant's talent manager Jaya Saha. Jaya works for the KWAN talent agency which is also under the lens of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Reports say that the NCB has 25 names of Bollywood A-listers who are involved in Drugs. Out of them, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, and Simone Khambatta have been confirmed.
Seeing the investigation, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy hailed the aggressive NCB's probe to expose the nexus of the drug cartel in the Bollywood industry. Swamy took to Twitter and wrote, "The extent the NCB has gone so far in ripping open the narco drug network is entirely due to the fact that BJP is in power. BJP is not just a party but a parivar and decisions of this kind are rooted in Hindutva, Without a Hindutva mindset India cannot be liberated from the past."
