Joint Admission Test (JAM) is a common entrance examination for admission to Master of Science and other postgraduate courses conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology i.e. IIT, Indian Institute of Science i.e. IISc and National Institute of Technology i.e. NIT.
Every year a different IIT organizes it on a rotation basis. However, according to the rank, admission is done in all the top institutes. This year i.e. JAM 2022 was organized by IIT Roorkee.
He gives the credit for the success given to the jail Superintendent
After qualifying the Gem, Suraj Kumar, while addressing the local media, has given the credit of his success to the then Divisional Jail Superintendent of Nawada, Abhishek Kumar Pandey and his elder brother Virendra Yadav.
Suraj Kumar said in his written message that if Abhishek Pandey sir's cooperation had not been received then we could not have become IITN at any cost.
He had made available other study material including books and notes to prepare for the exam inside the jail. With this, Suraj Kumar has expressed his trust in the court and said that justice will be given soon.
After all, why is this promising Suraj Kumar in jail?Suraj Kumar, a resident of Mosman village in Nawada district of Bihar, is in jail for murder. According to the information, Suraj was made a named accused in the case of the death of a person in a fight during a drain dispute in the village. After this, he was arrested and sent to jail on April 19, 2021.
After coming to jail, his studies were getting interrupted, but in the meantime one day he got to hear the motivational speech given by the then jail superintendent Abhishek in the jail.
Impressed by this, Suraj met him and he provided all possible help to continue his studies.
