Post the murder of Shiv Sena National Leader Sudhir Suri, situation is tense in state. Many leaders have pointed out that despite of having security personnel and police around him, he was shot dead which clearly states that state is not safe for anyone anymore. In order to protest against his murder and deteriorating law and order, Bharatiya Janta Party will be protesting at Bhandari Bridge from 12 noon on Monday.
The protest by BJP will lead to traffic problem at Bhandari Bridge due t which al the routes have got diverted for Monday. The Amritsar Police have given instructions that People going from Hall Gate to Batala Road should use Rambagh, Hussainpura, Shivala Phatak, Rambagh Phatak. While an under bridge has been completed at Joda Gate, which can also be to go to some areas of Batala Road. If anyone wants to travel to Civil Line or Ranjit Avenue, then they can use Rigo Bridge or Putlighar Gate.
This protest news comes after BJP District President Suresh Mahajan said that from the time Aam Aadmi Party has been formed in Punjab, the law and order system collapsed. He further added everyday incidents of murders, robberies, dacoities etc have become common in the state. He also stated that CM Mann is busy campaigning in other states leaving his own state behind.
Sudhir Suri was shot dead in Amritsar on November 4 while he was protesting near Gopal Mandir against the idols found in dustbin a few days back.
