Suhana Khan, daughter of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, is all set to make her into the world of movies with The Archies on Netflix made by Zoya Akhtar. While Suhana Khan enjoys great fan on social media even before her upcoming series release, she is now facing online trolling. In one of her interviews, Suhana Khan seemed quite impressed by Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt and she termed the actress' wearing her wedding saree as 'sustainable development'. Below is what Suhana Khan said exactly-
On being asked about the youth's role in protecting the environment, Suhana Khan talked about sustainable fashion by recalling Alia Bhatt's initiative of repeating her outfit. She said, "Recently, Alia wore her wedding saree again for the National Awards and I think as somebody with a platform, who has an influence, I thought that was incredible and a much-needed message."
As a result, Suhana started facing online trolling. A user wrote, "Karan Johar: Define Sustainable Development...Newcomer: Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs...Suhana Khan: Wearing your wedding dress twice is sustainable development...Karan Johar: Suhana is the winner."
A user defended her and wrote, "Isn't she actually pointing outrightly positive thing. Those commenting just for trolling aren't even having IQ to understand her point. Not even once has she mentioned anything to prove her supremacy or privilege."
Another user wrote, "In the land of sadhus and sanyasis, who live on a pair of similar clothes, one Bollywood nepo kid is applauding another nepo kid as champion of ‘sustainability’ for repeating an outfit once..Just how distanced they all are from real Bharat. Yet are called the soft power of India."
For those who are unaware, Suhana Khan's upcoming film is a coming-of-age drama, which focuses on Archie and his friends trying to protect the environment. Suhana Khan was talking about Alia Bhatt wearing her wedding outfits at the National Awards 2023. Alia Bhatt was a vision to behold at the 69th National Film Awards ceremony, that was held in October. What made her OOTD special was however the fact that she wore her wedding saree to receive her National Award from President Droupadi Murmu.
