BJP to Contest By-Elections Under Jakhar’s Leadership
Party insiders confirmed that BJP will contest the upcoming by-elections for the four Punjab constituencies—Barnala, Gidderbaha, Chabbewal, and Dera Baba Nanak—under the leadership of Sunil Jakhar. Jakhar is expected to finalize the candidate list for these constituencies soon and submit it to the party high command.
Potential By-Election Candidates Meet PM Modi
Preparations for the by-elections in Punjab have already begun, with BJP Punjab candidates actively participating. On Thursday, Barnala’s potential candidate, Keval Dhillon, met PM Narendra Modi at Chandigarh Airport and extended his greetings. Gidderbaha’s potential candidate, Manpreet Singh Badal, also had a meeting with the Prime Minister. Vijay Sampla from Chabbewal and Ravikaran Singh Kahloon from Dera Baba Nanak are expected to be the final candidates from their respective constituencies.
