Former Punjab Chief Sunil Jakhar slammed Congress high command Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday. He has opposed Sonia Gandhi's attempt to persuade the disgruntled Congress group G-23.
Sharing a tweet on Twitter, Jakhar wrote, “झुक कर सलाम करने में क्या हर्ज है मगर सर इतना मत झुकाओ कि दस्तार गिर पड़े (There's no issue in bowing down, but don't bow your head so much that turban falls off) Indulging the dissenters - 'too much' - will not only undermine the authority but also encourage more dissent while discouraging the cadre at the same time.”
Congress registered electoral defeat in 5 states including Punjab. The G-23, a group of disgruntled Congress leaders, started meeting and raising questions about the leadership of the Gandhi family. After this Sonia Gandhi started meeting these leaders. In which Congress MP from Punjab Manish Tewari was also included. Sunil Jakhar did not like this initiative of Sonia Gandhi.
