Former Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar will be suspended for 2 years. The Disciplinary Committee of the Congress has recommended it to Sonia Gandhi. Sonia Gandhi will put the final seal on this.
Responding to this decision, Sunil Jakhar only said good luck to Congress. In such a situation, it is clear that now he will not be in Congress. Earlier, Sunil Jakhar had targeted the Congress High Command in a tweet.
It may be recalled that Sunil Jakhar was accused of making objectionable remarks about former CM Charanjit Channi. Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Chaudhary had complained about this. Jakhar, on the other hand, is upset that the Congress high command should have spoken to him earlier. Instead, a direct notice was issued to him.
Moreover, Jakhar has already stepped away from politics. He did not even contest the elections after Navjot Singh Sidhu was announced as the PPCC Chief.
