The Indian film industry is abuzz with excitement as Anurag Kashyap drops the first look of his upcoming film Kennedy, which stars Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat. The film has been selected for the Midnight Screenings section at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, making it the only Indian film to be representing India at the 76th edition of the festival.
Anurag Kashyap took to Instagram to share two stills from the film, featuring Rahul Bhat holding a gun in a close-up shot and Sunny Leone looking stunning in a retro sari and oversized sunglasses. In her Instagram post, Sunny Leone expressed her pride and excitement at being a part of the only Indian film selected for the festival.
Kennedy is a deeply personal crime/police drama that explores a genre that Anurag Kashyap has always wanted to explore. The film is inspired by the crime writing of Patrick Manchette and his comic book collaborations with Jacques Tardi, and the cinema of Melville. Anurag expressed his gratitude to his team and partners who helped shape the film, including his producers Ranjan, Kabir, and Kavan, as well as his cast, including Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone.
