Supreme Court judge justice DY Chandrachud has tested
positive for the Covid-19 on Wednesday. A staff member of the apex court is
also reportedly positive for the contagious infection.
According to the sources, Justice Chandrachud is recovering well however, the bench lead by him will not assemble for any hearing in the coming days.
It may be noted here that matter regarding the Covid-19 crisis is under the bench headed by Justice Chandrachud. Also, the hearing on the matter is set to be scheduled for tomorrow.

However, in the absence of the judge, the bench would not assemble for the hearing and the date will be pushed ahead.
As per the reports of a Bar and Bench report, Justice Chandrachud sat to hear the matter via video conference on Monday but the hearing could not proceed as the Justice reported technical glitches. Due to this hearing was deferred to Thursday.
Earlier, on Saturday, the bench constituted a 12-member National Task Force that would formulate the strategies for the "scientific allocation of medical oxygen" to states and Union Territories.
