My mother used to sell utensils (bartan) by going in every street. My biological father was an alcoholic. He used to beat me and even kick me out of the house. I remember even today the marks of his beating on my mother."

"My mother then became alone after that. She used to provide for the family by roaming the streets and selling soaps, utensils, etc. My brother, my sister, me and my mother lived together. She then got married again. She married my uncle (Chacha). Thereafter, he supported and provided for us like his own child. Once, there was no money on Diwali. he sold his scooter for Rs 800 to buy crackers for us. "
