Ratan Tata Stocks, Ratan Tata Death, Ratan Tata Stocks Performance, Ratan Tata News: India's top business tycoon & philanthoropist Ratan Tata on late Wednesday night passed away at the age of 86. Ratan Tata died at Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital due to age-related complications. Notably, Ratan Tata once ran 30 out of 100 companies including in India and abroad when he was the chairman of the TATA company. Hence, there are plethora of companies that come under the umbrella of TATA companies. As a result, stocks of TATA companies came under focus after Ratan Tata's death. After Ratan Tata's demise, multiple TATA companies stock went down marginally and many also registered an increase as well. Below is how TATA companies stocks are performing after Ratan Tata's death-
Initially, Tata Motors stock went down nealy 2 percent. However, (while writing) Tata Motors stocks were trading at 931.10 INR−8.05 (0.86%)today.
As per Business Standard, Tata Chemicals and Indian Hotels Company's stocks rose up to 4 percent on the BSE in the intraday trade after the death of Ratan Naval Tata. Reports further suggest that the top 15 Tata group listed companies in terms of market capitalisation, 13 stocks were trading in the green, while the remaining two Tata Motors and Trent (down 0.10 per cent at Rs 8,211.45) were quoting lower on the BSE at 09:20 AM.
On the other hand, Tata Chemicals, Indian Hotels Company, Tejas Networks, Voltas, Tata Elxsi and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) were up in the range of 1 per cent to 4 per cent. In comparison, the BSE Sensex was up 0.27 per cent at 81,690.
TATA Steel stocks were also trading in green- 159.77 INR +0.71 (0.45%).
