The name of the vehicle has gone through many choices. This was Buzzard at the Geneva Motor Show, then later it was Gravitas, and finally Safari.
The lack for a 4x4 drivetrain in the 2021 Tata Safari is proving to be a disappointment among netizens. However, the company has clarified that the architecture of the vehicle supports 4x4 drivetrain and, the future of all vehicles, electrification.

The 2021 Tata Safari is a stretched-up version of the Harrier. It is noteworthy that the stepped-up roof of Safari will allow for comfortable headroom for third-row occupants. Also, the side profile of the SUV will be longer and will get a different set of alloy wheels.
The Republic Day, 26th January, is rumoured to be the launch date for the vehicle.
