'Papa sorry, mummy sorry, Akku sorry. Now, I am taking leave. The law needs to protect men. Please, someone should talk about men. They become very lonely,' well, these were the last words of a TCS Employee who shared one last video before taking his own life. A techie working in TCS named Manav posted a video of 6 minutes 57 seconds before giving up his life in an Atul Subhash-like case. He made serious allegations against his wife and in-laws.
Manav Sharma of Agra said in his video before taking his own life that he was fed up with his wife's harassment. Manav's father, who was a manager in TCS, has blamed the daughter-in-law and her parents. Manav himself said in his video that his wife lives with her boyfriend in Mumbai.
According to Manav's father, his son got married on 30 January 2024. The son was in TCS, so he took the daughter-in-law to Mumbai. The daughter-in-law used to quarrel every day and threaten to implicate the family in a false case. The daughter-in-law used to talk about living with her boyfriend. On February 23, the daughter-in-law and son came home from Mumbai. On the same day, Manav went to his mother's house to drop off his wife. On the morning of February 24, he took his own life. Manav's father, Narendra Sharma, is retired from the Air Force, and he alleges that his son died after getting fed up with the harassment of his wife.
Shortly after the clip was released, the techie's wife, Nikita, made a counter-video in which she denied the allegations and accused her husband of beating her. Nikita also shared her WhatsApp chats with Manav's sister. Nikita alleged that Manav's sister told her to not take his threats that he will take his own life seriously.
"The day he died by su***de, he had dropped me at my maternal home. Whatever claims he has made about me, it is about my past. It is not related to anything after our marriage. He has tried to harm himself multiple times before...I have stopped him at least three times. He used to drink and beat me up, too."
Police said that a complaint was filed against Nikita after the techie's sister found the video blaming her.
