Janata Dal-United leader and NDA ally Nitish Kumar is likely to take oath as the Bihar Chief Minister for another term on November 16 after the NDA victory in Assembly elections.
In the results that came on November 10, the NDA that fought the elections under its chief ministerial candidate Nitish Kumar managed to bag 125 seats in the 243-member Assembly.
However, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) became the single largest party after it secured 75 seats in Bihar Elections. Divulging the details of vote-share, the difference between NDA and RJD-led Mahagathbandhan was literally minimal. What ended the battle between the two key rivals was just 12,768 votes (out of about 3.14 crore) which went to the NDA.

Now, Tejaswi Yadav has finally interacted with the media after Mahagathbandhan's defeat in Bihar Elections. He said, "I thank Bihar's people. The mandate favoured Mahagathbandhan, but the Election Commission’s result was in NDA's favour. This hasn't happened first time. In 2015 when Mahagathbandhan was formed, votes were in our favour but BJP made back door entry to gain power."
