1) Albie Morkel IPL 2008
The South African all-rounder Albie Morkel might not be the part of IPL anymore but he is still remembered for his massive six. The record for longest six in the IPL was set by the South African all-rounder while playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the first IPL edition and it still stands today. Albie's massive strike of 125 m is the longest six in IPL history. The South-African all-rounder is regarded as one of the cleanest hitters of the game. He made his debut for CSK in the 2008 edition and played six seasons for the franchise. Morkel hit Pragyan Ojha for a massive 125-m six in the cow-corner area.
2) Praveen Kumar IPL 2011:
The second-largest IPL six of all-time belongs to Praveen Kumar. Hard as it is to believe, but he smacked Mumbai Indians’ Lasith Malinga for a whopping, 124-meter six. Playing for Kings 11 Punjab Praveen Kumar hit an enormous six of 124m, making it the second biggest six in IPL history. Praveen Kumar's name in IPL longest six list sits on 2nd spot after Morkel.
3) Adam Gilchrist- IPL 2011 (122m)
Slotting in at number 3, is, Adam Gilchrist. His massive, 122-meter hit for Kings X1 Punjab was the second-longest of the 2011 season. And till now he sits at the third spot in the list of the highest six distance in IPL. Gilchrist smacked RCB bowler, Charl Langeveldt, for a huge 122-meter six. He scored 106 runs of just 55 balls, taking his Kings 11 Punjab team to an impressive 232-2 in 20 overs.

4) Robin Uthappa- IPL 2010 (120 metres)
The fourth on the list of biggest sixes in IPL is Robin Uthappa. Robin does not reply on slogging or hitting the ball hard, he relies more on timing to hit sixes. Interestingly, he has hit the forth-longest six in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In one of the matches against CSK in 2010 edition, Robin Uthappa smacked a 120-meter long six to Dwayne Bravo. Uthappa also features in the list of highest 6 in IPL, where he stands at number 11. He has been one of the most successful batsman for the Kolkata Knight Riders and is now part of Rajasthan Royals.
5) Yuvraj Singh-IPL 2009 (119 metres)
When we talk about sixes how can the sixer king Yuvraj Singh does not come in the list of highest six meter in IPL. Yuvraj Singh features at number five in the list. He hit 119-metre long six over mid-wicket region to Albie Morkel. Yuvraj scored 58 runs off 36 balls in that match.Though Yuv Raj Singh is not alone. Yuvraj shares the fifth spot along with Chrish Gayle and Ross Taylor. Taylor's humongous hit came during the inaugural season of IPL in 2008 when the RCB batsman Ross Taylor faced his countryman Jacob Oram who was playing for CSK. The 5th highest 6 in IPL was a hit over deep mid-wicket. Taylor came into bat at no. 3 position and ended up scoring 53 runs of just 34 balls. While Gayle's 119-meter-long hit came in the 2013 season.
6) Gautam Gambhir- 117m
Like Robin Uthappa, Gambhir is known for his timing and placement, however time to time Gautam Gambhir is also known for losing his calm. Interestingly, Gambhir features in the top ten biggest sixes in history and he sits at number 6. Gambhir was in a fiery mood when he came out to open the innings against the Rajasthan Royals. The skipper of the side casually walked across and flicked the Sreesanth over midwicket for a superb 117 m hit. With the new ball in the hand, Sree perhaps would have thought of pitching the ball up and get some swing. Unfortunately, Gambhir was in a totally different mood and gave the Sreesanth no opportunity to build the pressure.
7) Ben Cutting- IPL 2017 (116m)
The tall and strong Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting was quite a big name in the Big Bash but when he marked his presence in the IPL as well. Ben Cutting hit the longest six of IPL 2016 in the final against Sunrisers Hyderabad. It was in the 19th over of the game when another Australian Shane Watson bowled a waist high full toss and the Australian all-rounder hit it over the square boundary for a humongous six. The ball traveled 117 meters and Cutting finished with 39 off 15 balls.
8) MS Dhoni -IPL 2012 (112 meters)
When we are talking about the sixes and that too in the IPL, how can one of the greatest finishers of all time (MS Dhoni) does not come in the list. One of the most hard hitter of the ball, MS Dhoni showcased his brutal strength in the eliminator match between Chennai Super Kings and the Mumbai Indians during the 2012 IPL campaign.The CSK Skipper hit a six off James Franklin’s bowling which measured 112 meters.

In a game against MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings during IPL 2018, AB de Villiers hit Imran Tahir for a humongous 111 meters long six over mid-wicket at the Chinnaswamy stadium. Chris Gayle has also hit a 111m six and therefore both sits at number 9.
10) David Miller - 110 meters
David Miller is one of the destructive hitters in world cricket at the moment. Miller is a natural six-hitter and has hit some big ones in the India Premier League as well. During the ninth edition of IPL, Miller hit one for 110 meters, which still stays as one of the biggest one in the competition's history.
