In a cowardly attack, an officer standing in the security of the Israeli embassy was shot with a crossbow by an unknown man. Israel embassy terror attack took place on Saturday in Belgrade, Serbia. A cop was shot in his neck with a crossbow. Interior Minister Ivica Dacic called it a terrorist attack against Serbia.
As per reports, the cop who was shot in his neck with a crossbow was rushed to a hospital. Currently, the policeman is in a life-threatening condition and is having surgery. The Interior Minister reportedly said the cop was shot in the neck with an arrow by a man who approached him several times to ask where a museum was.
The police officer managed to fire several shots at the attacker, who was pronounced dead at the scene. As per a Serbian news agency, "This is a terrorist attack against Serbia."
Interior Minister Dacic reportedly said multiple people believed to be linked to the shocking attack have already been arrested. Referring to an ultra-conservative branch of Islam, he said: "There are some indications that they are already known to security services and we are talking about the Wahhabi organisation, but that is not confirmed."
Reacting to the incident, a user wrote, "The policeman, in this state, still managed to deterrorize the terrorist who shot him with a crossbow. But why did the terrorist come from another town in Serbia to attack Israel's embassy? With a crossbow?? 0 logos"
Notably, the identity of the attacker has not been revealed yet by the authorities.
