Days after a blast near Israel Embassy in Delhi, a Jewish place of worship in Thane received bomb threat via Email. A synagogue–house of worship in Judaism– in Maharastra’s Thane received a bomb threat via mail, following which cops rushed in to the spot. A team of Police carried out searches at the 'Gate of Heaven synagogue' located in the Charai area of the city. Notably, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) was also sent to the spot and the synagogue was evacuated.
Searches were carried out in the area, however, nothing suspicious was found. As a precautionary measure, a police team has been deployed in and around the synagogue.
The latest bomb threat is concerning as for the past few days Israel has been witnessing security threats in India. While Israel continues to remain at war against Hamas, its merchant vessal was attaked by a drone in the Indian Ocean recently. Iranian group were suspected to carry out drone attack on the Israeli ship. Not only this, the Delhi Police received a call about a blast near the Israel Embassy in Delhi on Tuesday evening. As teams of police reached the spot, a witness to the incident was quoted saying, "This happened around 5 pm. I was on my duty and heard a loud sound, similar to that of a bursting tyre." Following that Israel issued advisory for its citizens to remain vigilant.
