Actor Arjun Rampal realized his long-cherished dream of acting in a period drama when he starts work on the upcoming historical, The Battle Of Bhima Koregaon. The film casts Arjun as a Mahar warrior while Sunny Leone plays a spy who masquerades as a dancer. The makers plan to release the film in the second half of 2021.
However, there are still some portions of the film which are left to shoot. On normal days these do not seem to be a problem, although with every day passing by, the NCB probing the drugs angle in Sushant Singh Rajput's case is seen to be tightening its grip on Arjun Rampal. Recently, the NCB summoned Arjun Rampal, however, the actor sought time till December 21 to appear before the agency for questioning.
After such developments, there were speculations that Arjun Rampal's dream project might go into the pipeline. Now, The Battle Of Bhima Koregaon Director Ramesh Thete has opened up on the controversies and the speculations going around.
Talking to a leading Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar, Ramesh Thete said, "We are yet to shoot some portion of the film which we will start next year. We did not feel any fear when Arjun's name came up in the drug case. Most of Arjun's shoot has been done in the film. The rest are around another artist. Arjuna is needed though only for a short time. We hope that he will come out of this phase as soon as possible."
Recently, Arjun expressed his admiration for this project. Arjun plays Sidhnak Mahar Inamdar, a leader of Mahar Regiment. "Generally, when I do a certain film, I ask myself why I am doing this film but when I heard the story of this film, I thought I should definitely be a part of this project and I shouldn't stop myself from doing it," he said.
