The Kapil Sharma Show went off-air about a month ago and the makers of the show said that they would return after taking a break of two months. However, the rising Covid-19 cases seem to have caused a change in the show plan. Sources said that the show might make a comeback in July. The last episode was telecasted on January 31.
“Kapil was busy shooting for his OTT debut film along with his wife Ginni Chatrath, who was pregnant. Keeping in mind Kapil's personal and professional commitments, the channel asked him to take a 2-month break and return to the show again in March. However, no work has yet started on this plan so far. Thus, the channel is now thinking to return with the show in July instead of March. "

Keeping in view with the surge in coronavirus cases and covid guidelines in place, there is no possibility of having a live audience on the show for a few months, the sources revealed. Bollywood stars are also not expected to appear on the show for film promotion, so the show makers will not start working on it until conditions come to normal.
