Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial The Kashmir Files has set huge records at the box office. The movie gets praised by many Bollywood actors, directors and politicians. Adding to the reactions, Bollywood director Kabir Khan also gave his reaction after watching the movie.

He said that Nationalism and Patriotism are two different things. Director makes a film when something excites them. He explains the difference between Nationalism and Patriotism during an interview. He said, “Patriotism is a real love for the country. For Nationalism many times you need an opposition or a villain, but not for Patriotism. You need no opposition for it.”

While talking about the film he said, I make films and show the stories. I don't think any filmmaker wants to prove anything. We are there to tell the story. We don’t make moves with the agenda. We make films when the story excites us.

 The Kashmir Files is based on the real-life tragedy of Kashmiri Pandits who left Kashmir during the exodus.  The movie tells the story of a student who discovers that his Kashmiri Hindu parents were killed by Islamist Assailants during the exodus. The movie made with a budget of 15 crores has earned more than 228 crores so far.
