The Khalistani slogans surfaced again in Punjab. This time the slogan was found written on the walls of Dera Sacha Sauda, Bathinda-based Salabatpura headquarters. Khalistani outfit Sikh for Justice has claimed responsibility for writing these slogans. In these slogans, SFJ has highlighted their intention of taking revenge against the Dera Chief for his coarseness on Guru Granth Sahib. Bathinda Police reached the site as soon as they were made aware of the case.
Right at the dawn the next day, these slogans were erased. The CCTV footage is being sent for scrutiny. SSP of Bathinda Police J.Elanchezhian, IPS said, “We have started our investigation by filing FIR against unknown miscreants.”
The incident took place even after the police were present
The main point that has to be taken into account is Dera Salabatpura has the deployment of police personnel. Even after this the Khalistani slogans and intimidating messages were written. However, CCTV cameras are installed in and around the Dera premises which have given police some crucial evidence regarding the incident, based on which police have started an investigation.
Intimidation to three state governments as well
Sikh for Justice has issued intimidating warnings to three state governments besides Punjab including Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Which calls for not supporting the Dera Chief. The SFJ chief Gurpatvant Singh Pannu has an old record of issuing such warning messages to previous Chief Ministers and the governments in the region.
