Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone opened up about her battle with Covid-19. She tested positive in May last year. At that time, Deepika, along with her father Prakash Padukone, mother Ujjala and sister Anisha had contracted the virus.
Now in an interview with Film Companion, Deepika shared her experience of how she dealt with Covid-19. She said, “Life after Covid changed for me because physically, I was unrecognizable completely... I think (due to) the medication I was given, the steroids that I was put on.”
“So Covid in itself was weird, your body feels different, your mind feels different. I felt that when I had the illness it was still okay but after that, I needed to take two months off work because my mind wasn't working. The phase for me was very, very difficult," Deepika added.
Deepika is one of the highest-paid actresses of Bollywood. She charges almost 10 crores for her each movie. Deepika charged Rs. 13 crores for her project 83' and Rs 15 crore for her movie with Shah Rukh Khan 'Pathan'. She also does brand endorsements.
On her birthday, Deepika recently shared the posters of her upcoming movie ‘Gehraiyaan’. Earlier, Gehraiyaan was scheduled to release on 25th January, but now, it will release on February 11 on Amazon Prime Videos. In this movie, Deepika will be seen in a new avatar. The film also features Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead roles.
