Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas is on cloud nine as her film, The White Tiger, which has also co-produced has been nominated in the Best Adapted Screenplay category in Oscars 2021. The actress announced the nominations on Monday evening along with her husband Nick Jonas. She took to her Twitter handle to express how "special" she felt while announcing the Oscar nomination of "The White Tiger" for Best Adapted Screenplay at the upcoming 93rd Academy Awards.

"Just got nominated for an Oscar! Congratulations Ramin and team #TheWhiteTiger. Somehow announcing the nomination myself made it so much more special. So so proud," she wrote on the microblogging platform, tagging actors and her co-stars in the film Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav.

Priyanka also used the hashtag in the name of writer-director Ramin Bahrani, who has done the screenplay of the film.
She also shared a photo of herself with Ramin Bahrani, who wrote and directed the Netflix film.
Priyanka shared more fun BTS from the nominations
Later, Priyanka Chopra also uploaded multiple fun BTS photos from the event, where she was accompanied by her husband Nick Jonas. She wrote, "One way or the other... Congratulations to all the nominees. And thank you @TheAcademy for the opportunity. #GregWilliams you fit right into our manic Monday. Thank you for the pictures @nickjonas (sic)."

About - The White Tiger
The White Tiger is an adaptation of the Man Booker Prize-winning novel of the same name by Aravind Adiga published in 2008. The film starred Adarsh Gourav, Rajkumar Rao and Priyanka Chopra in pivotal roles and Chopra has also produced the film. The story revolves around the character of Balram Halwai, a native of Laxmangarh village, who rises from his humble background to become a successful entrepreneur. He becomes the driver of a rich Delhi Man and later murders him.
Along with "The White Tiger', the other films that are nominated in this category are "Borat: Subsequent movie film", "No Man’s Land", "The Father" and "One Night in Miami".
