The Bombay High Court on Wednesday granted Tandav Director Ali Abbas Zafar, Amazon Prime India head Aparna Purohit, producer Himanshu Mehra, and the show's writer Gaurav Solanki three weeks transit pre-arrest bail from the FIR registered against them in Lucknow. 

The UP Police on Tuesday arrived in Mumbai to continue their investigation against the Tandav makers and Amazon Prime Officials. However, the Bombay High Court on Wednesday granted them protection for three weeks. This also enables the accused named in the FIR to apply for an anticipatory bail in  Uttar Pradesh. 

Now, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has yet again lashed out at Ali Abbas Zafar and others. ANI quoted Mishra who said, "When we react on an act then they say that we are creating chaos. Why do you do such acts that a reaction is needed? We will not tolerate such things at all. Court has provided them relief so they are safe otherwise they would have been behind bars."

The makers of the Tandav have been booked for promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, makes destruction, damage, or defilement of a place of worship or an object held sacred; forgery for purpose of harming reputation, statements conducing to public mischief, with intent to threaten the unity, integrity, security or sovereignty of India, or to strike terror in the people or any section of the people.
