A group of 36 cross-party UK MPs, led by the Labour Party's Tanmanjit Singh Dhesi have stepped out in order to join hands for farmers' agitation in India, asking British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to elaborate the issues with New Delhi.
The MPs, in communication to Raab, asked to make sure for some relaxation in India against the recently enacted agriculture laws in which farmers are seen to be “ exploited” ; since Indian farmers are completely depend on cultivation for their bread.
Moreover, they requested to the Foreign Secretary to commune with the Indian government along with taking the support from Sikh farmers in Punjab and overseas
In their memo, Dhesi, the Labour MP for Slough, said that by gone a month many MPs wrote to the Indian High Commission in London about the impacts of the three new farm laws .
"This is an issue of particular concern to Sikhs in the UK and those linked to Punjab, although it also heavily impacts on other Indian states.
"The Punjabi community is widely recognized as the backbone of the state's economic structure and the farmers' concerns are a powerful faction in national and state politics," the letter stated.
With the purpose to interact with Raab to discuss about the "declining" situation in Punjab and its correlation with the Union government.
Furthermore, some showcases should have to be made to India about the impact on British Sikhs community ,who have their bond with their lands in India.

In a tweet, Dhesi said: "Many constituents, especially those emanating from the Punjab, have contacted MPs to express solidarity with the farmers opposing farmers Bill 2020 in India.
"Plethora of MPs duly delegate and approved a cross-party letter, demands for justice ,and feasible solutions to the farmers are facing in India these days”. For seeking interest from the higher authority Indian farmers are protesting themselves at Delhi-Haryana and Delhi-Uttar Pradesh borders.
The agitated farmers are demanding to revoke the three farm laws passed by Parliament in starting phase of this year and expressed anxiety that they will be under the burden of inflation if the pricing system would not be rectified , this would lead them to leaving their homes under the depression of poverty. They are expecting aid from the government.
Whereas the higher commission claimed that their upcoming rules of agriculture would upgrade the standard of living and farmers will get desired opportunities. It has also accused the opposition parties of misleading farmers.
