Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Jalandhar in Punjab on an election tour on Monday. Here from the election platform, he once again raised questions on the Punjab government regarding the security arrangements. Last month, on its way to Firozpur in Punjab, a flyover Prime Minister's convoy got stuck for about half an hour. This was described as a major lapse in the security of the Prime Minister and questions were raised on the Punjab Police.

Expressing his old relationship with Punjab, PM Modi said, 'Punjab has fed me roti when I used to work from village to village here as a simple worker of BJP. Punjab has given me so much that I feel like working harder than I do to pay off its debt. It is a great pleasure in itself to come to the land of gurus, soldiers, mystics, great revolutionaries, and generals.
