It's been only a week since its release, but The Kashmir Files has started a debate in India on who is responsible for the genocide of the Kashmiri Hindus. The Kashmir Files, which is based on the genocide of the Kashmiri Hindus in 1990 is directed by National Award winner Vivek Agnihotri. Directed by National Award Winning director Vivek Agnihotri, The Kashmir Files has also forced the politicians of India to acknowledge and talk about the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus which took place in 1990. Even PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and others have lauded the film.
Now, the Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday granted the Y security for Vivek Agnihotri after his film The Kashmir Files became the talking point of the Indian Parliament as well. As per reports, the MHA approved the Y category for Vivek Agnihotri for entire India. Vivek Agnihotri Y category means a cover CRPF security will go side by side with wherever he travels pan India. Interestingly, the Centre had approved Y security cover for Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut after she was threatened by Shiv Sena.

As per the report, in the security of Y category, a total of 8 security personnel are deployed for the security of the person. In this, the VIP who is given security, five armed static guards are installed at his house. Also, three PSOs in three shifts provide security. Vivek Agnihotri Y category security approval comes after a section of people including opposition leaders criticised the National Award-winning director of creating a propaganda film against the Muslim community.

In mere one week of its release, The Kashmir Files has earned almost Rs 100 crore despite the fact there is no big Bollywood star in the movie. To be exact, in a span of 1 week, The Kashmir Files box office collection stands at Rs 97.30 crore.
