On Wednesday, an accident occurred in Garhi Manoswal village of Hoshiarpur district, claiming the lives of three individuals and leaving ten others injured. The victims, all hailing from Bodal Samrala village in Ludhiana district, were on their way to Sri Khuralgarh Sahib in Garhshankar sub-division to prepare for a Baisakhi ‘langar’ when the incident took place.
The accident occurred when the tractor-trailer they were travelling in overturned near Garhi Manoswal village. The vehicle was carrying a water tank behind it, and behind the water tank was a generator. As the tractor trolley was coming down the hill, the weight of the water tank and generator caused the trolley to lose balance and fall down a 100 feet from the hill.
According to police reports, the driver of the tractor-trailer lost control of the vehicle, leading to the tragic accident. The deceased have been identified as Jaswinder Singh (28), Davinder Singh (13), and Darshan Singh (60), and their bodies have been sent to the civil hospital in Garhshankar for post-mortem analysis.
The injured individuals have been admitted to the same hospital for medical attention. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning
