Dayanand Ayurvedic College established in 1898 is India’s oldest Ayurvedic College to start institutional study in Ayurveda. It is hosting the state level Ayurveda parv, which will last for 3 days i.e, 19th to 21st March.
Dr. Rakesh Sharma, dean academics Guru Ravidas Ayurvedic University Hoshiarpur, told that this prestigious occasion is sponsored by All India Ayurved Congress, Punjab & Chandigarh Board of Ayurvedic and Unani Systems of Medicine, Punjab & Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur.
Event was inaugurated by Sunder Sham Arora, Minister of Industries & Commerce, Punjab and Sunil Kumar Jakhar, President Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee.
Padam Bhushan Padam Shree Awardee Vd. Devendra Triguna, President All India Ayurvedic Congress, New Delhi presided over the function.
Sham Arora addressed people saying that popularity of Ayurveda existed since the period of Hindu mythology and requested Dr. Manoj Nesari to sanction 50 bed to hospital of Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur and requested permission to admit level-1 Covid patient in Ayurveda.
Dr. Sunil Jakhar congratulated principal Dayanand Ayurvedic college Dr. Sanjeev Sood for successfully organizing this function and for the green atmosphere of the college. He praised Dhanwantry Vandana by students of Ayurvedic College and told that Ayurveda is defamed by quacks and due to lack of insight by people in Ayurveda. He praised the holistic approach of Ayurveda as the efficient and cost effective treatment in Ayurveda.
In the Evening session honourable Mr. Arvind ghai, Secretary DAV college managing committee, New Delhi, was the chief guest and Dr. Bal krishan sharma Kaushik, V.C was guest of honour. They awarded Dhanwantry award to Dr. Ish Sharma, Dr. Pankaj Kumar, Dr. Parwinder Bajaj, Dr. Jagdish Prashad Singh, Amritsar, Dr. Rekha Bajaj, Vaidya Karanvir Singh, Dr. Suresh Chauhan, Dr. Ashok Kumar Jindal, Dr. Harpreet Singh Bhandari.
