Team India, on Sunday, scripted another history by winning their third ICC Champions Trophy. Rohit Sharma & Co. lifted the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 trophy after defeating New Zealand by 4 wickets. Team India skipper Rohit Sharma was adjudged player of the match for his crucial 76 runs at the top when the Men In Blue were chasing 252 on a tricky wicket. Despite Team India's clinical performance at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, former Pakistani Cricketer Tanveer Ahmed outlined another conspiracy angle.
On his YouTube channel, former Pakistani Cricketer Tanveer Ahmed accused ICC Chief Jay Shah of making pitches in Dubai that can favour India. Tanveer also objected to the fact that Jay Shah was present at the Dubai International Stadium whenever India played their matches. Tanveer forgot that ICC Headquarters is in Dubai and the top cricketing body's chief is also a former BCCI Chief. Sitting in the stand to support your nation does not point to any conspiracy. Miffed at Team India's Champions Trophy win, the former Pakistani cricketer also spilled that the Men In Blue should throw their Champions Trophy 2025 Final victory into the dustbin as it is worthless.
Tanveer Ahmed on India's Champions Trophy Final win
Tanveer said, "This is what Jay Shah always wanted. He only wanted Team India to win the Champions Trophy 2025 final. The entire world was screaming that India is playing all their matches at the same venue. See today's pitch. Why did you not make the pitch much whiter (sarcastic tone)? Why did you not make the pitch much more flat and dry? Why did you not slow it down more? It is obvious that BCCI is a dramebaaz board, and their person, Jay Shah, has become the chairman of ICC now. He always kept on sitting there (Dubai International Stadium)."
"In Pakistan, there was a proper batting pitch. There was not much assistance to spinners. I heard people saying that if India had played in Pakistan, they had smashed bowlers. I agree, but spinners of India would have dominated much....So, it was not 100 percent but 1000 percent advantage to India. Such types of wins should be thrown into the dustbin. This is not even a victory. Why did you not come to Pakistan?"
"Gautam Gambhir said they did not get any advantage. I will tell him to stop. The conditions of India and Dubai are same. You are not playing on a single venue in Australia or England that you dont have an advantage. Other cricketers board should unite against BCCI," added Tanveet Ahmed.
