TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy said Dollar Seshadri's death was a huge loss. He expressed shock at his death and stated that Seshadri's contributions were unforgettable.
Dollar Seshadri joined TTD in 1978 and after retiring in 2007, he continued to serve the temple as an OSD.
He is best known for his role in the transition-abolition of the Tirumala temple's hereditary archakas post-mirasis systems, which were abolished by the Andhra Pradesh government in
1996 after a lengthy legal battle.
It may be remembered that Seshadri was the face of the country's richest Hindu temple.
After the gold dollar scam rocked the TTD, he was forced to leave and stay away from the temple for a while, but he returned after the Court acquitted him in the case, and he continued to serve the temple until his last breath.
