Lasith Malinga has taken the most number of wickets in Indian Premier League (IPL) history. The Sri Lankan has played for Mumbai Indians since 2010 and is still an active player for them. Malinga has taken 170 wickets in 122 IPL matches till date at an excellent average and strike-rate of 19.8 and 16.62 respectively.
Amit Mishra, Harbhajan Singh, Piyush Chawla and Dwayne Bravo follow next with 157, 150, 150 and 147 wickets to their names respectively.

Mishra has played for a number of franchises and currently plies his trade for Delhi Capitals. He is the highest wicket-taker among spinners in the history of IPL. Harbhajan Singh, who played for Mumbai Indians for the major part of his career, is the second highest wicket-taker among spinners. He plays for Chennai Super Kings at present.
West Indian all- rounder Dwayne Bravo is at fourth in the list of highest wicket-takers in the IPL. Also a former Mumbai Indian players, Bravo has been playing for CSK for number of years now.
IPL 2020 is about to begin as well and all these bowlers would be looking to maintain their lead in the list of most wickets in IPL history once again. The likes of Ravichandran Ashwin, Sunil Narine and Umesh Yadav will look to revitalize their careers with the tournament coming up.
