After Punjab became the first state to impose a curfew, it was expected that positive case count will be decreased in the state. However, the curfew seems to backfire Punjab itself, as more fresh cases came into limelight on Tuesday.
As per officials, three people from Phillaur (Punjab) have been tested positive. Moreover, the Station House Officer of Phillaur has also been quarantined as he was the one who was supervising all three patients.
Due to positive cases, a village of Jalandhar (Virk) has been sealed. As per reports, all the three positive patients came in contact with the 70-year-old coronavirus patient who died due to coronavirus. The 70-year-old coronavirus patient was resident of a village in Nawanshahr district, had returned from Germany via Italy on March 7. He died at a hospital due to cardiac arrest on Wednesday.

Till now, 18 people have been affected due to coming in contact with the 70-years-old man. With this Punjab's total positive count has reached 26.
