Five Punjabi students were killed in a tragic accident in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Saturday. Five Indian students have been killed in a fatal collision between a van and a tractor-trailer on Highway 401 in Quinte West, Ontario.
Two other passengers were taken to hospital with serious injuries after the accident, but the situation has not been updated by the police.
“Heart-breaking tragedy in Canada: 5 Indians students passed away in an auto accident near Toronto on Saturday. Two others in hospital. Harpreet Singh, Jaspinder Singh, Karanpal Singh, Mohit Chouhan and Pawan Kumar were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on Saturday. The victims were between the ages of 21 and 24, and state police said they were all students from the Greater Toronto and Montreal areas.
They were travelling west in a passenger van on Highway 401 on Saturday morning when their tractor collided with a trolley at 3:45 am. Police said that the crash is being investigated, and no charges have been filed yet.
