On Ferozepur road in Punjab's Ludhiana area, a bus traveling at high speed struck an elderly passenger using an Activa. Once they collided, the elderly man collapsed to the ground. The bus driver failed to apply the brakes, causing him to drag the elderly guy towards the main road along with the Activa for around 15 feet.
The corpse had been severely crushed by then. The dead man's body was broken into pieces. The deceased was identified as Charanjit Singh, 71 years old.
It has been reported that the bus driver stopped the car after it had traveled a distance. When the bus, which was packed with passengers, halted in the middle of the Ferozepur Road, there was a major traffic congestion. People gathered around the bus and called the police. The location was reached by Sarabha Nagar police station.
The police officers who responded to the scene kept the dismembered body in their car and transported it to the mortuary of the civil hospital. They are looking into the situation, according to SHO Amarinder Singh of Thana Sarabha Nagar. The deceased's family members have been notified. Whatever steps need to be taken in this situation will be taken.
