Train services to be disturbed in Punjab from March 3 to 13; Check cancelled & rescheduled trains' list

Indian Railways has released a list of trains that will either be completely cancelled or delayed from March 3 to March 13, i.e., for almost 11 days.

Passengers traveling by train in Punjab will face some disruptions as multiple trains have been either cancelled or rescheduled. This is due to non-interlocking work taking place at the Batala railway station, which falls on the Amritsar-Pathankot railway line in the Ferozepur division. Due to this, the train services on this route will be affected for 11 days, from March 3 to March 13.
The Ferozepur division of Indian Railways has released a list of trains that will either be completely cancelled or delayed during this period. If you are someone who is planning to travel by train in or through Punjab, it is important to check your schedule in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

The cancelled trains include

  • Amritsar-Pathankot Passenger (54611 & 54614)
  • Amritsar-Pathankot Express (14633
  • Pathankot-Amritsar Passenger (54616)
  • Pathankot-Verka (74674) & Verka-Pathankot (74673)
  • Amritsar-Kadian (74691) & Kadian-Amritsar (74692) 

List of Rescheduled Trains (March 3 to March 13)

•    Amritsar-Pathankot Passenger will be delayed by 50 minutes on March 7 and March 9. If you are one of the passengers traveling on these dates, expect a delay in service.
•    Tatanagar-Jammu Tawi Express (18101) & Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi Express (18309) will terminate at Amritsar instead of their usual final stop at Jammu Tawi. This change will remain in effect from March 5 to March 30.
•    Jammu Tawi-Tatanagar Express (18102) & Jammu Tawi-Sambalpur Express (18310) will start their journey from Amritsar instead of Jammu Tawi from March 8 to March 13.
