Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's addiction to drugs and the story of his struggle in quitting it is well known to it. Thanks to the Ranbir Kapoor starrer biopic that every people today knows his story. Dutt has now resumed his work in Bollywood and reports state that the actor has defeated his drug addiction.
Sanjay Dutt's daughter Trishala who is also a psychologist by profession recently responded when people asked her on her Instagram that what she has to say about his father's past drug addiction?
Trishala penned down a long note on drug addiction and on her father's struggle with it. She wrote, "First it's important to note that addiction is a chronic disease characterised by drug seeking and use that compulsive, or difficult to control, despite harmful consequences. The initial decision to take drugs is voluntary for most people, but repeated drug use can lead to brain changes that challenge an addicted person's self-control and interfere with their ability to resist intense urges to take drugs."

"When it comes to my fathers past drug use, he will always be in recovery. It's a disease he has to fight every.single.day. Even though he's not using anymore. I'm proud of my father for admitting he had a problem, taking initiative and seeking help for it. There is nothing, not a damn thing, to be ashamed about," Trishala added.
These days drugs have taken a center stage in Bollywood as the NCB is in a hunt to crackdown the drug nexus of Bollywood.
