Today, a significant incident occurred near Goraya on the Jalandhar-Delhi National Highway, involving a collision between a chemical tanker and a car. This unfortunate collision resulted in a massive fire erupting from both vehicles, causing a chaotic scene on the highway. In response to this fiery mishap, fire brigade units from Phagwara were promptly dispatched to the scene in an attempt to gain control over the blazing inferno.
The intensity of the fire that ignited after the tanker-car collision was so fierce that it even engulfed nearby vehicles. As a consequence, thick plumes of black smoke billowed from the chemical-laden tanker, shrouding the entire Goraya stretch of the national highway. This sudden turn of events caused considerable inconvenience for commuters and travelers alike.

As of now, there is no such information regarding casualties resulting from this accident. In response to the dangerous situation, the Highway Patrol Police has taken the precautionary measure of closing the Jalandhar-Delhi lane leading towards Ludhiana, where the collision and subsequent fire occurred. To alleviate the gridlock that ensued due to the incident, local law enforcement is directing vehicles towards service lanes and alternate routes through nearby villages.
This unfortunate incident has resulted in a significant traffic jam along the highway, and efforts are underway to manage the situation and ensure the safety of all involved.
