The much-awaited Trump vs Biden US Presidential Debate took place on Friday with the entire US and the world keeping an eye on the two veteran leaders ripping apart each other by their words. Donald Trump vs Joe Biden Debate was hosted by CNN. It took place just 5 months before the Presidential election in November in the US. The July 28 event was the first presidential debate that took place between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. This contest between Republican Party candidate Trump and Democrat candidate Biden took place for the second time in 4 years.

During this, both the leaders made serious allegations and personal attacks on each other for 75 minutes. Donald Trump called Biden a 'Manchurian Candidate' in an attempt to highlight his closeness with China. He alleged that Biden gets money from China. At the same time, US President Biden cornered Trump on his hush-money case and said, "Your wife was pregnant and you were having an affair with a p**n star."

At the beginning of the debate, the two leaders did not even shake hands with each other. While entering the TV studio, Biden waved his hand at Trump and asked him how he was. Trump did not answer this, he quietly went and stood at his place. Below is a breakdown of Trump vs Biden Debate-

On Inflation

1) US President Biden blamed Trump for rising inflation in the US saying that he inherited a failing economy from his predecessor. "What we had to do was try to put things back together again," Biden said During the debate,  Biden engaged in a balancing act between lauding his economic stewardship while also recognizing that many Americans are hurting over high costs. Biden ultimately promised 'to bring down inflation and give people a break'

2) Donald Trump on the other hand celebrated his economic accomplishments, as well as his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

On Russia-Ukraine War

3) Interestingly, Joe Biden and Trump agreed on their opposition to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s stated terms for the end of the war. However, Trump claimed that the war would have never started in the first place if he had been president. He also criticized how much aid the United States had given to Kyiv.

4) On the other hand, Biden accused Trump saying, "he would pull the United States out of NATO and risk an expanding war."

On Israel-Hamas war

5) Donald Trump slammed Biden on the way of handling of the war, saying he has "become like a Palestinian" because of Biden’s demand that Israel do more to protect civilians in Gaza. Trump also slammed Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu. 

6) In response, Joe Biden stated that his administration has withheld some weapons from Israel. "We are providing Israel with all the weapons they need," he said. Biden also outlined his three-phase proposal for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, blaming the militant group for why a deal has not yet been reached.

7) Responding to this, Trump said, "Israel is the one. And you should let them go and let them go finish the job."
