Trump cracks down on illegal immigration, US military plane carrying 205 Indians heads to Amritsar

With the new President Donald Trump taking power in the United States, the work of sending people who have entered there illegally back to their countries has begun. Many Indians are among the people who have been identified by American agencies. Similarly, a US military aircraft carrying 205 Indians left for Amritsar from San Antonio on Tuesday. The C-17 aircraft will land at Amritsar airport on Wednesday morning.

The plane is expected to arrive at Amritsar International Airport at around 9 am on Wednesday. A senior official associated with the Amritsar district administration said on condition of anonymity that they have not received any order to detain 205 Indians who are coming from deportation.

According to sources related to the Amritsar administration, the documents of all people coming in the American flight will be checked at Amritsar airport. Apart from immigration etc., the entire background of these people, especially the criminal record, will also be checked. If someone's criminal record is found, he will be arrested at the airport itself. This process can take a whole day.

According to sources, some of these Indians who have been deported from America maybe those who have left for America after committing some crime in India.

White House refused to give information

Meanwhile, White House press secretary in the US, Caroline Levitt, said that U.S. agencies have arrested 538 illegal immigrants. These include a suspected terrorist, 4 members of the Tren de-Aragua gang, and several criminals involved in sexual crimes against minors.

He said that the campaign to deport people who have entered the US illegally is going on successfully.

However, the American authorities did not share any information about the deportation of 205 Indians. A spokesman for the US embassy said it could not share details of such flights.

Punjab's response 

The time of landing of this plane at Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport in Amritsar is around 9 am.

After which these Indians will be sent to their homes.

The senior officer, Gaurav Yadav, Punjab DGP said that no orders have been received to detain these 205 deported Indians. But their documents will be checked here, which may take the whole day. In short, there shall be no ill-treatment to the Indian immigrants sent back to India.
