After the look test, television actress Divyanka Tripathi rejected Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 because she thought her coupling with TV actor Nakuul Mehta would be "a little odd." Divyanka, who is well-known for her roles in programmes like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Banoo Main Teri Dulhan, believes that a different female lead would work better with Nakuul.
“After working for so many years in this profession, if it is myself or anyone as an actress, we should at least have this liberty to choose a project that I am enthusiastic about,” Divyanka remarked in an exclusive interview with a leading news channel. “As far as the report of me seeming older than him onscreen is regarded, in reality I absolutely agree with it,” she stated of the onscreen combination.
