A delegation of United Cycle and Parts
Manufacturers Association called on MP from Sri Anandpur Sahib Manish Tewari at
his residence and handed over a memorandum regarding the demands of the
industries. Chairman of Punjab Large Industrial Development Board Pawan Dewan
were also present on the occasion.
The memorandum outlines the challenges being faced by the MSME
sector. According to the delegation, a recent survey has revealed that as
on March 31, 2019, there were around one lakh MSME industries in Ludhiana and

regard, they emphasized the need to sensitize the MSME industry to seek clearance
from PSPCL and urged PSPCL to extend the PIL till March 31, 2022 by waiving the
amount of this penalty. Similarly two part tariff should be replaced with
single tariff and inclusive of all expenses and taxes should be Rs. 5 per unit.
They also demanded formation of steel regulatory authority to control
speculation in steel prices.
MP Tewari listened attentively to the issues raised by
the industry representatives and assured to take up with state and central
government.

Gurcharan Singh Gemco, General Secretary Manjinder Singh Sachdeva, Secretary
Valaiti Ram, R & D member Avtar Singh Bhogal, Inderjit Singh Navyug former
