In this era of technology, scammers have been adopting new ways to defraud people of their hard-earned money. In a recent case, online scammers duped a school teacher using the name of Elon Musk.
Victim, Julie Bushnell said that she fell ashamed and embarrassed after falling into the online Bitcoin fraud that cost her £9000 (approximately Rs. 9.28 lakh). She has lost her savings for her new house because of this Bitcoin fraud.
She told an English News Network that “She thinks about it every minute of every day”.

A detailed description of what had happened
Julie Bhusnel, the Brighton teacher, is a cryptocurrency investor. She spotted an advertisement by the BBC News on the website which read, Mr Elon Musk, the billionaire boss of the Tesla car firm, would pay back double of the invested Bitcoin deposit.
After seeing the item, she deposited £9000, which she has been saving for her new house. When she did not receive any reply and no payment was reciprocated to her she had become the victim of a scam.
She said, “It has affected me massively. I wish I could have that time back – go in the time machine and not make those couple of clicks.” She slammed the scammers for robbing her and now she wanted to create awareness about such scams.

It would not be the last time when the fraudsters would use a professional-looking website, with promising returns to duped hard-earned money. Hence people should carefully invest their savings in such scams.
