The French Ambassador said that the UN Security Council on Wednesday gathered behind closed doors for an emergency meeting about North Korea's latest ballistic missile test which member states consider a “major threat,” as per the media agency AFP.
French Ambassador Nicolas de Riviere said that countries included in the UN Security Council said that such missile tests are a major threat to peace and security and are also a violation of council resolutions. The United Nations Security Council has also expressed concern over the same.
Nicolas, after the 45-minute meeting, said, “We all condemned what happened, the tests. Everyone is very concerned about this situation.”
“This is a major threat to peace and security, it's a clear violation of the Council's resolutions,” he said and added that the missiles had fallen “within Japan's exclusive economic zone.”

How will this missile help North Korea?
North Korea can now launch missiles from any corner of the country because there is a railway network throughout North Korea. However, in times of crisis, North Korea's railway network can also be an easy target for attackers.
US missile expert Adam Mount said train-borne missile systems are a cheap and reliable option for countries that want to increase their nuclear power.
